freshening up: revealing a re-purpose

I strive to glorify God in all areas of my life.

But my blog seemed to take a back seat to those prayers.

This realization just came to me recently...despite the fact that I've been blogging for quite some time now.  

It's not that I purposely left God out of it.  I think I passively left Him out.  

So the other day, I committed this blog to the Lord.  I told Him to use it as He deemed best.  

I prayed for my blog.

And the ideas you'll see below began to instantly rush my mind.  I started to re-evaluate the goals of my blog.  What am I trying to convey?  What do I want the world to know??

After some brainstorming, I realized my blog needed purpose.  Rather than the haphazard-go-where-the-wind-blows direction.  Now this is not entirely fine-tuned.  I'm sure some kinks remain beneath the carpet. I will be re-working the way my blog works and looks over the course of time to fit it's purpose...so bite the bit and bear it with me...will ya? Yet, I feel overwhelmingly confident.  

So here goes...

Each day I will blog about something specific.  The word "specific" is a loose term, allowing freedom to create, yet providing comfortable direction.  You dig?  And each day will have a recurring theme.

Each day will have a different name.  Here they are:

Ministry Monday

Mondays will be the day I discuss the various ministries I am involved in while on internship.  I plan to talk about the joys, prayers, and frustrations I am facing.

Sew and Tell Tuesday

Tuesdays will be the day I show you all the fun crafts, recipes and projects I've created.  There will be some successes and {mostly} failures. ha!  There may be some tutorials in the future, but I can't promise that!  There will be at least links you can follow to see the genesis of my inspiration!

What I'm Learning Wednesday

Wednesdays will be the day I fill you in on my spiritual and personal growth.  Things about my Bible studies, devotions, ideas on being a wife and mother, and general ideas about this thing we call "life".

Thankful Thursday

Thursdays will be the day I share with you all the things I am...well...thankful for.  I'll accomplish this by linking up with Julia over at black tag diaries.  Ann Vonskamp says it best, "...when I give thanks for the seemingly microscopic, I make a place for God to grow within me."

Fridays will be the day I write out five random facts that have happened to us in the past week.

I know.  You are on the edge of your seat...right?!  

Maybe not.
