foto friday: love

Our suggested theme this week for foto friday is "love" over at Household6 Diva.
Here's a photo I took on Valentine's Day:

Now you may be saying to yourself, typical.
And you would be right.

But the photograph holds more meaning than that.
This was my Valentine's gift from the love of my life.

It's simple.  Sweet.  And straight from the heart.
He knows me so well.

I have an obsession with "cozy-mugs".  There are only a few coffee cups in my house that can be characterized by that endearing term.  The basic requirements are short, fat, interesting, and the ability to keep my drink warm.  The final qualification is that when I drink from it, it must make me feel...well...cozy.

He also was very creative in placing the roses inside.  He's so mindful of details!  "Creative" is something he's learned well over 5-1/2 years because he knows it makes me happy.  (It doesn't usually come naturally, I mean, he is a boy, after all.)  Like I said, the love of my life.

It was accompanied by a beautiful card with the most wonderfully hand-written note inside (always so poetic, forcing huge, happy tears to fall from my eyes) and a box of chocolates.  Again, you say typical.  But.  I. love. chocolate.  (And mushy cards.)

So, you see, the photograph for me, encompasses everything I love about Michael.
And what I love about Michael is that he loves me.
I feel like I've mentioned this before, but...he's the love of my life.

I know, I know....typical.

  4. sweetness! I scored big-time in the chocolate arena this Valentines, for which i am very thankful. He also brought home a balloon and stuffed animal for each kd, which touched my heart more than the chocolate.
The best gift? He did all the laundry. yeah, it may not be the most creative thing, but boy do I feel loved! :)
and btw I may be just as addicted to cozy coffee mugs...
