Annaleigh does not belong to us...

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:7

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Psalm 127:3

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

Psalm 34:11

Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done...

...That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children;

That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments...

Psalm 78: 1-4; 6-7

(originally written for the Jewish people, however we can learn from it and use it as a guide in our own lives)

It's true.

Our baby girl belongs to the Lord.

We are simply stewards of his precious treasure.

Mike and I dedicated Annaleigh and ourselves to the Lord a few weekends ago before the congregation of our church. Our church is to help keep us accountable to our commitment to train and teach Annaleigh the ways of our Lord as well as maintain our own solid walk with God and each other. Our hope and prayer is that she comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at an early age and walks in His ways all her life.

Would you please pray with us for those few, yet important, things?

May we do good for our little girl so that our Lord will use her life in a glorious and divine manner...

What a gift she is...what a gift.
