Sugar Daddy

Mike has a new job...again.

But this time, it's better. It's better because it's different. It's different better. It's different, so that makes it better...(Shout out to all those who are now thinking of the movie Kicking and Screaming!)

He is no longer the "Facilities Manager" at our church. He is now....drum roll please...an Admissions Representative at Baptist Bible Seminary!!!

The Perks:
Health Insurance (for all three of us)
Flex Spending Account
FREE Tuition!
His own private office
A new "tricked-out name tag"
Free collared shirts complete with BBS logo
A new laptop
A new cell phone
Business Cards

The only downside (from my point of view) is that Mike will have to travel now and again. Sometimes for a week or more. He is thrilled about this because he will travel all over the country(and I contemplated placing it under "the perks" of this job, but since I am not so thrilled, I decided against it)! However, on some of his short trips, Annaleigh and I will be able to go with him. So maybe I should list it under one of the perks? Nah.

In spite of my feelings, I am so happy that he is happy. In fact, I think this is the first job he is going to LOVE since graduating from college. Although, time will tell if it will surpass the joy of working at Taco Bell in highschool. That'll be a tough one to top!

I predict he will be perfect for this job of going to schools, colleges and organizations recruiting individuals to come to the seminary.

  1. I just wanted to comment on how wonderful it is to actually see God provide for you with health care - remember how you were so "worried" about how it was going to work out and now look!!! I said it will be exciting to see how God works this out and look at how he did :-)
